Welcome and thank you for your interest in Tacoma Waldorf School. People are being drawn to Waldorf education because of the caring, personal atmosphere, the effective approach that integrates the arts throughout the curriculum, and our attention to a child's spirit and imagination as well as his or her intellect.

When children relate what they learn to their own experience, they are interested and alive, and what they learn becomes their own. Waldorf schools are designed to foster this kind of learning. Our educational program seeks to touch the imagination of each child through training in the arts, rhythmical activities (including eurythmy), and rigorous academic lessons.

Our school is non-denominational and open to children of all cultural, racial and religious backgrounds. Our philosophy acknowledges a child's spiritual side and strives to awaken a sense of gratitude, respect, and responsibility for themselves and the world.

We are now enrolling Parent-Tot thru 3rd Grade and accepting applications for Fall 2007
