Saint John's Preparatory School is a Benedictine, co-educational, day and boarding college preparatory school for students in grades 7-12, with boarding options beginning in the 9th grade. The facilities at Saint John's and the College of Saint Benedict are available to all Prep students, including 5 dining halls, 3 gymnasiums, 2 swimming pools, 2 exercise facilities/fitness centers, 2 field houses with indoor walking/running tracks, 2 college libraries, 2 college theaters, Climbing wall, Racquetball and tennis courts, the lakes and hiking trails of Saint John's. Recent construction at the Prep School includes a $3 million science lab/classroom addition completed in 2000 and a 10,000 square foot music and fine arts facility built in 1997.
